"It had not started well as they could not find our booking (done weeks prior to our visit), which is always uncomfortable and annoying. They settled us at the counter in front of the kitchen and offered us a drink in a goodwill gesture duly noted. Later, finding our booking but under the wrong name, we were offered the choice to move to the main room for the rest of the dinner. Well, let's go down to the food. Ups and downs: - years after enjoying foie gras made by grandma or the locals in Périgord, duh.... I think I have found the best foie gras i ever tasted this evening! By itself, it was the very best, with the rest of the dish, it was really harmonious and brought pleasant flavors ~ - the main dish, ris de veau paired with octopus, was a good surprise. - the desert was however slightly disappointing. Not that it was bad, but I expected something more than what was served. My personnal taste makes me prefer more cooked fruits, but overall, despite being ok good, i was hoping for something more striking. To sum it up, this is indeed one of the three best places in Laval and the surroundings to get a great gastronomic experience."

"Excellent if you seek inventive cuisine in a relaxed setting. Few choices but everything fresh and homemade, all vegetables are in season and mostly local. The 32€, 3 course menu was perfect with good surprises. Also a restricted choice of wines at all price points up to 200 € a bottle and several are offered by the glass. Possibly a tad too much cream in some of the dishes?"

"As the name says, exquisite food in a great setting. My all time favourite restaurant in Laval. The food is exquisite and the wine list extensive (I think). I actually never managed to order from the wine list as the Owner's pairings were fantastic. Whether by the glass or bottle I trusted him from the first till (sadly) last. I will truly miss this place. Some of the food combinations were so eclectic I have trouble imagining, but believe me they were fantastic. Who would have thought Chorizo would go with fish??The Tea (if you can call it that) at the end is indescribable. L'Esprite Cuisine is a Laval must! (Hint; The Black Angus beef is the best I have had in France, and the cheeses are exquisite)"

"Now this is an experience you will have to add to your to do list. First, there's a friendly reception, the pleasure of a restaurant that invested in really great furniture and a cosy modern atmosphere plus a spacious layout, anders then the food experience starts. Whatever dish, you choose, it contains classic elements with new additions that enhance flavor, texture or presentation. The spring roll is downright spectacular in a combination of tuna, algea and wasabi, but then the chef adds fruit to it to elevate it to surprise even more. And that's 3 courses and a few amuses before you receive the electric flower experience.... Must go when in Laval. Combine with an aperitif in La Nef and you'll have a quality night way beyond what this City could pretend."

"Based on excellent reviews below we chanced being available a lunch table for 2 when visiting Laval today. We were not disappointed being made very welcome by the host and staff, the food itself was simply just first class and a refreshing approach (in our opinion also very good value). It was accompanied by a couple of glasses of also very good wine and finished with an exquisite not too sweet desert wine. This restaurant is definitely a must when in Laval and we will certainly be visiting again. Thank you!"
